All users of this site or any of our catalog sites, agree that access to and use of this site/s are subject to the following terms and conditions and other applicable law. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use this or any of importec's catalog sites.
Return Policy & Conditions of Sale
We are committed to providing the best customer satisfaction possible. We will gladly
replace any defective item/s that are covered under the manufacturers warranty.
All items that are returned for credit will be subject to restocking fee of up to 20%.
Within 30 DAYS of receipt of your order, you may return products that:
Are in their original clean, unmarked packaging.
Have original manufacturer information.
Are not used, installed, or disassembled.
Are not damaged due to incorrect installation.
Do not have missing parts, hardware or instructions.
The cost of return shipping is the buyer's responsibility; no credit for your shipping expenses will be given. The only exception to this rule is if we made an error in shipping you a wrong item - the item will be returned prepaid by the customer - if the item or item number does not match the item on the catalog, the customer will be reimbursed for the stamp value or receipt value of the return shipping costs.
The following orders/items are not returnable:
- Custom or special orders
**Body parts such as hoods, bumper covers, fenders, doors, etc.
- Opened Gasket Sets & Kits
- Automotive repair manuals & tools
Electrical Parts and Components (Such as: ECU's, Push Button Units, relays, air mass meters, Electronic Modules etc)
**Body Parts / Sheetmetal and freight delivered oversize items:
Importec's distribution warehouses makes every effort to assure all shipments are counted, well packaged and leave the warehouse in good condition. Sheetmetal and large body parts leave the warehouse only after an inspection from two members of the warehouse staff - both inspections are independent of one another. Each inspection is recorded and logged. These items are expensive to ship and we do not accept returns on them unless paid by the purchasing party. Any damage due to freight or handling must be noted and filed at the time of delivery directly with the freight company. The purchasing party is responsible for inspecting the part and packaging for damage at the time of delivery - no damage claims can be filed with the freight company after delivery has been accepted and signed for.
Cores must be returned within the 45 day return period.
All fluid must be drained from the core.
Cores must be returned in the manufacturers packaging - ie: Bosch, Programma, C&M Hydraulics boxes - if the manufacturers packaging is not included with the core return, the core charge is not refundable.
To receive credit, cores must be re-buildable, complete and meet current eligibility of manufacturer's specifications. Importec will issue customer credit for the current commercial value not to exceed original purchase core price. Only cores sold by Importec will be accepted for credit. Core value will be credited to account after Importec accepts & approves the core is in a rebuild-able condition.
The core/s return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchasing party / customer.
If your product has been damaged in shipment, please call us or email us within 24 hours of receipt of your product to begin the returns process. We'll then contact you via email with further instructions on filing your claim.
Importec warrants most of its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months. For more information on the warranty coverage on a specific product brand, please email us at email@example.com. If you have received a defective product, please review the manufacturer information included with your new or remanufactured product. This limited warranty covers the product and does not include labor or materials not furnished by the manufacturer/distributor or any charges for such labor, materials or consequential damages. Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. The product is intended to be installed by certified professional repair personnel. Importec assumes no liability for the product or vehicle from improper installation techniques, defective products, incorrectly ordered or incorrectly supplied products.
The limited warranty also does not apply to any product that has not been:
- Altered outside the manufacturer specifications.
- Subject to misuse, abuse, negligence, or operating conditions other than those for which the product was designed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
- Physically damaged.
The original purchaser must submit all warranty claims with valid proof of purchase, as well as a repair order stating the defective part was found to be defective by a certified technician. The product will be sent to Importec freight prepaid by the customer for inspection. If it is determined the product is defective, the purchaser's recourse is limited to replacement of the product by Importec, or credit issued to the customer's credit card account if the product is no longer available. The policy for Importec does not provide for any labor, material, and/or shipping charges for the replacement of the product or the replacement performed. Prior to any return, a Return Authorization (RA) must be obtained from a salesperson. This number must appear visibly on the outside of the package or the item will be returned to the customer at their expense. Prices are subject to change - you will be refunded the lowest amount you paid for the part - we do not cover any increase in price of a part that may occur over the duration of the warranty. RAs will be considered void if not received within the thirty days from date of initial purchase time frame.
Domestic shipments are shipped and delivered Monday through Friday, with the exception of FedEx Ground Home Delivery, which delivers to most residences Tuesday through to Saturday, but does not deliver to residences on a Monday. No shipments are shipped or delivered on Saturday, Sunday or national public holidays - including certain days after or before major public holidays - like the Friday after Thanksgiving. Orders that are placed after the catalog cut-off shipping times, are shipped the following business day. The cost of return shipping is the buyer's responsibility; no credit for your shipping expenses will be given. The only exception to this rule is if we made an error in shipping you a wrong item - the item will be returned prepaid by the customer - if the item or item number does not match the item on the catalog, the customer will be reimbursed for the stamp value or receipt value return shipping costs. International customers are responsible for ALL shipping costs, which include replacement, and return shipping costs due to a warranty replacement, incorrect parts, defective or damaged part/s. There are times when international shipments are delayed by 3-5 business days from being mailed, as the order has to be sourced from several distribution warehouses, and unlike domestic orders, can not be shipped from multiple locations. Shipping charges incurred by Importec on all orders, including orders that received free ground shipping are not refundable. We are not responsible for any shipping delays or packages that are not delivered within an estimated delivery time - these factors that include, but are not limited to - weather or service delays, customer not available to sign for shipment, customs and postal delays, incorrect address, driver unable to find location, or any other reason - these shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds are issued within 1 to 2 weeks after we receive the item/s, to the same debit or credit card that was used for the initial purchase. Shipping charges incurred by Importec on all orders, including orders that received free ground shipping are not refundable.
